Nokia have today announced their new sporty mobile phone. The Nokia 5500 Sport mobile phone has a number of features ideal for active, athletic people.
The Nokia 5500 Sport comes with a splash and dust resistant stainless steel body with rubber grips. It comes with 3 working modes which are easily selected by the touch of a button - these modes are normal mode, music mode and sport mode.
The sports mode has a number of special features such as a pedometer for monitoring the distance you have traveled and the calories you have burnt. A text to speech function which reads out the status of your work out, and your incoming messages also saves you from stopping your workout to read your texts.
The Nokia 5500 Sport is also a full-featured smart phone with Symbian OS and S60 user interface. It also boasts Bluetooth, infrared port, microSD slot – supporting cards with capacities of up to 1GB, 2 mega pixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio, and USB to name a few. The MP3 player facility is sure to be useful to those who spend countless hours on the treadmill or out jogging, and with up to 1GB of storage their is plenty of space for a large array of songs.
