Sony Ericsson expand their value range of mobile phones with the new Z550i

The Sony Ericsson Z550i due for release in Q3 2006 is the latest in Sony Ericsson’s lower midrange mobile phones. The clamshell design phone which will be available in sterling black or pearl copper is aimed at both business and leisure users, that are looking for a good value handset rather than a top-of-the-range model. Another good value mobile phone that has recently been released is the Sagem my700x music mobile.

Sony Ericsson say that the Z550i is partly inspired by the styling of the classic Sony Ericsson T610. It also has a vertical display on the front fascia much like the Sharp 703.

The Sony Ericsson Z550i measures 88 x 45 x 21mm and weighs 93 grams. Its features include 1.3 mega pixel camera, Bluetooth, expandable memory on M2 cards, FM radio, multimedia player, web browser, email client, tri-band, RSS news reader, upto 5.5 hours of talktime and a maximum 13 days standby time.
