Samsung soon to release their new QWERTY smartphone
Friday, July 14, 2006
Samsung have officially announced the Samsung SGH-i320, after holding back for so long over an official announcement, although the QWERTY smartphone was actually on display at the 3GSM conference back in February of this year.
The SGH-i320 will obviously be competing head to head with the Nokia E61 and Motorola Q which use the same thin form factor. The i320 is only 11.5mm thick and weighs just 95g.
It features a 2.2-inch 65K colour TFT display, Windows mobile 5.0 OS, document viewer (MS word, excel, powerpoint and PDF), 1.3 mega pixel camera and integrated dual speakers, 120MB of internal memory and microSD slot for expansion, tri-band, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth and USB support. You can see the full specifications in out Samsung i320 section.
The SGH-i320 supports push email and the QWERTY keyboard adds to ease of use, frequent email users would benefit from this mobile phone most and we could see some people migrating from Blackberry mobile phones for the additional features.
