1st August saw the start of Web n Walk on Pay as you Go

On the 1st August 2006 T-Mobile launched Web n Walk on Pay as you Go.  You may recall an article we wrote on this a few months ago when Web n Walk Pay as you Go  was first announced.  Now the release has happened we can reveal a few extra details to help you make your mind up on the new service.

The Web n Walk add on has been so popular on T-Mobiles Pay Monthly plans that they have expanded it to all three Pay as you Go plans as well, these are Mates Rates, Text Appeal and Everyone.

The Web n Walk service provides Pay as you Go customers with unlimited internet browsing and email across the entire internet. Many other networks only allow limited website browsing; only allowing access to a number of prescribed websites.

Web n Walk pay as you go is also good for customers who also find it hard to keep track of the number of kilobytes they have downloaded while browsing but in a different way to its contract cousin. When you have reached £1 worth of browsing the rest of your internet usage for that day is completely free.  Therefore you can only spend a maximum of £1 per day.

To receive Web n Walk on your mobile your phone must be a Web n Walk handset, two of the most popular Web n Walk handsets are the Motorola RAZR V3 and the Nokia 6131, these will be priced at £99.99 for the V3 and £129.99 for the Nokia 6131.  New handsets are to be announced in the near future.

Another important thing to note is that calls to Europe, Canada and the US are 55p per minute on all pay as you go plans.  This is the same price as on pay monthly plans.  However if you were to use the internet whilst abroad, the browsing rate would revert back to the ‘standard data roaming rate’ which is 0.73p per kilobyte which is £7.50 per megabyte, and your Web n Walk maximum charge of £1 would not apply meaning costs could rack up quickly.
