Pink is the new Black with mobile phone trends
After the recent announcement of the LG KG 800 in pink, also being called the ‘Turkish delight’ version of the chocolate phone, O2 have secured an exclusive deal to sell the pink Samsung E900. Huge sales of the original Samsung E900 in black wiped out Samsungs stock of the handset, and retailers are still reporting shortages.
O2 seem to be going for the ever popular pink coloured handset as other handsets that have been released in pink have been hot sellers.
Mobile phones such as the Motorola RAZR V3 , Motorola PEBL U6, Motorola V220, Motorola L6, LG KG800, and Nokia 6111 have all been released in pink and have sold like hot cakes. The pink V3 was one of the biggest selling handsets of 2005 with Carphone Warehouse’s exclusive release selling approximately 50,000 units per week.
O2 will be exclusively selling the pink Samsung E900 in October, and it will only be available direct from O2 stores and through O2 online. O2 customers will also be able to upgrade to the handset on their current contract.
