Mobile phone wrist watch soon to be released in Australia
If you live in Australia there is no need to check the time on your mobile phone anymore, as Australian messaging applications company SMS Technology have created the mobile phone wrist watch.
The mobile watch not only tells you the time and allows you to make and receive calls via a bluetooth headset, but it also has full SMS capabilities and a USB port so that you can download ringtones and games. It also has up to 80 minutes talk time!
It will be available in various colours including blue, yellow and gold and is due for release in Australia on the 1st December 2006, it is yet unknown whether the mobile watch will reach the UK market.
We wonder if the best move for this company is to try to market it to joggers and gym goers in the way that Nokia have done with their Nokia 5500 Sport, as surely a wrist watch based mobile phone would be an improvement over carrying a standard mobile phone in your pocket whilst working out. Additions such as a heart rate monitor would be another added bonus that could see sales improve.
