Codenamed the LG SV420, but branded the LG Shine, this slider mobile phone hopes to emulate the success of the LG KG800 ‘Chocolate’ Series.
Wednesday, October 25, 2006
As part of the expanding range of the LG Black Label series which brought us the LG KG800 Chocolate mobile phone, and more recently the white and pink versions of the same handset, LG aim for an even more premium finish with their newly announced LG Shine.
Once again the technology in the LG Shine is hardly cutting edge compared to the LG KG920 (codenamed the LG Leo), but it does take the black label series forward technologically taking the camera from 1.3 megapixels to a reasonable 2 megapixels with flash.
It is also expected to feature 3G, 1GB of memory and an MP3 Player is a package that is 14mm thin, though weighs 115 grams as a result of the new finish.
Obviously the major focus of the LG Shine is the design of the phone casing itself and its best described as a cross between the imminent Motorola RIZR (already with RIZR Black, RIZR Blue and RIZR Red versions planned) - characterised by the ‘stop’ at the end of the phone which the top half slides shut against, and the Nokia 8800 and Nokia 8800 Sirocco due to it’s stainless steel façade.
Take a look at the entire LG phone range in our LG mobile phones section.
