Three claim to unleash the true power of broadband internet on your mobile phone.
Three will be launching the X-Series on 1st December. This is a service that Three claim will unleash the true power of broadband internet over your mobile phone.
The service will offer users access to a range of internet services as well as personal home technology. Features will include all you can use internet access, access to the internet service Skype for voice over IP (VoIP), PC access through Orb and access to your video and TV programmes through an internet connected Slingbox.
All this will be offered at one flat rate similar to T-Mobiles Web n Walk services who charge a flat rate each month (£7.50) for unlimited internet access, or Web n Walk pay as you go which offers unlimited internet access each day for only £1. Obviously the X-Series will include a large number of value added services which may make the package more appealing to many.
Three have teamed up with a selection of internet companies to realise the X-Series including Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
Pricing has yet to be announced but with so many extra features than T-Mobile Web n Walk we presume it will be more expensive than T-Mobiles flat rate. It will be interesting to see the difference in price between both services, to see if customers really are swayed by the extra features offered by Three’s service.
