O2 have announced that they will be giving away a years worth of free cinema tickets with a selection of their handsets that are purchased through their online store. Customers will receive one free Odeon cinema ticket per month for 12 months.
Thursday, December 14, 2006
This obviously rivals Oranges - orange Wednesdays promotion. Orange give away 1 free cinema ticket, in a 2 for 1 promotion every Wednesday. You claim your free ticket by sending a text message from your mobile to Orange, who then send you a code which you must show to the box office when purchasing your tickets.
Orange Wednesdays is available to all Orange customers, where as O2's deal is only available on the Motorola KRZR, Pink Samsung E900, Sony Ericsson Z610i, and the Red Samsung E870.
Hopefully O2 will extend the give away to all O2 customers to really rival Orange Wednesdays. We can only wait and see if the promotion proves as popular as Orange Wednesdays.
