LG have released the KE850, which looks very similar to the Apple iPhone. The LG KE850 has been designed in conjunction with designer label PRADA.

The LG KE850 is a touch screen only mobile phone and it has a plain and simple design.  It is a tri-band Gsm phone with a 240 x 400 pixel touch sensitive screen, Bluetooth 2.0, 2 mega pixel camera with LED flash, microSD expandable memory, multimedia player with the ability to view widescreen video clips, web browser and document viewer, email client and a FM radio.  It weighs in at 85 grams and measures 99 x 54 x 12mm.

Although the camera is only 2 mega pixel it uses a Schneider Kreuznach lens (who manufacture several lens for Kodak).  A high quality lens is thought by many to be more important for picture quality rather than the amount of mega pixels.

The KE850 comes in smaller and lighter than the iPhone , but it only has 8MB internal memory so a memory card would be essential. The screen measures 3.2” which is slightly smaller than the iPhone.  It also doesn’t come with 3G or WiFi support.  It will be priced approximately £380 sim free (although it is expected to be available free on a new contract) and will be available from late February.
