Vodafone At Home available now. The new broadband, landline and mobile phone package from Vodafone.
At Onecompare we like to trial new products, so when we got the opportunity to try out Vodafone at home we snapped up the offer. In the next few paragraphs we will briefly explain what Vodafone At Home includes and would welcome your views on the packages available. We would also like to hear from current Vodafone At Home customers to see how they are finding its services. You can do this by clicking here to log on to our Onecompare forum.
Vodafone At Home is a new broadband, landline and mobile phone package. If you have a Vodafone contract you can sign up for £25 per month (minimum Vodafone at Home subscription of 18 months), this would increase to £35 a month if you were to cancel your Vodafone mobile contract. Once signed up you will receive unlimited internet access with speeds of up to 8Mb, and free calls to any local and national UK landline number at any time throughout the day or night. Your landline calls can last up to 60 minutes free of charge. If you were having a very long conversation you could always end your call, redial and talk for another 60 minutes for free!
For your £25 a month you also get a free Netgear Ethernet modem, free Norton Internet Security 2006 for 6 months including AntiVirus, Personal Firewall, and Parental Control, up to 10 free email addresses - 20Mb per inbox, free technical support from UK call centres 24/7, free account query support from 8am – 11pm daily, a 25% saving on calls to mobile networks from your landline compared to standard BT rates, and free caller display.
As an optional extra you can also request a wireless router for £25 (this is ordered when you sign up), or a Vodafone Mobile Connect USB Modem. This comes with a 50% discount off the recommended retail price (£58), plus a monthly subscription of £29, this device would allow you to surf the internet while you travel.
There are several packages to choose from, package 1 (£25) is free of charge, for an extra £1 you can upgrade to feature package 2 which includes Vodafone Divert and voicemail 1571. Feature package 3 includes call waiting and call barring as well as Vodafone Divert and voicemail 1571, this is an extra £3 per month. And finally feature package 4 includes all the extras of feature package 3 plus a ‘Ring Back’ facility for £3.50 extra per month. Ring back will continue to redial an engaged number for you for up to 45 minutes. Alternatively you can pay 15p for each time you use the ring back service.
