Unfortunately Motorola have again stuck to what they know with a very similar looking handset to the L6 and L7, this is slightly disappointing as it would be nice to see Motorola release a new design once in a while.

Despite that there are a few differences that the L9 brings.  It is a stylish looking sturdy mobile phone, measuring in at 113 x 49 x 11.5 mm and weighing 96 grams identical to the L7.  The main differences from the L7 are fascias, and a few feature upgrades. 

The glossy front fascia has a silver band that runs around the edge of the mobile phone and the back fascia is covered in a rubber like material that not only looks good but helps your grip when holding the phone, giving the handset a sturdy and robust feel.  The front fascia is so glossy and shiny that the display can be used as a mirror!

The camera has been upgraded from the L7’s VGA 640 x 480 pixel model to 2 mega pixels, there has also been EDGE and an FM radio added.  As before the L9 still features a microSD slot, MP3 player, Bluetooth, GPRS, and miniUSB slot to name a few.

We are hoping that Motorola will release some new designs in the near future, but until they do the L9 would be a good choice for people who like the L7 but would like a few extra features and a fashionable mobile phone.
