Onecompare help promote awareness of mobile phone slamming by speaking live to BBC Radio 2

Recently Onecompare.com wrote a news article called Beware of mobile phone slammers warning mobile phone users of a process known as, "slamming", which involves switching customers to different networks or expensive long - term contracts against their will. Usually a salesman will call promising a free phone upgrade or discount. The customer thinks that this is no strings attached and signs up but then discovers that they have been locked into an expensive new contract.

On Thursday 31 May 2007, Anthony Ball Director of Onecompare.com went live on BBC Radio 2 to make consumers aware of how easy it is to fall prey to one of these phone slammers and give some helpful tips on how to stay clear of being conned into signing up to an expensive contract.

If you would like to listen to the interview please click here and navigate through to the Chris Evans show on 31 May 2007.

Have you been contacted by a mobile phone slammer, or a suspected mobile phone slammer? If so please call us on 01744 28644 or email us at info@onecompare.com to tell us your stories and we can give help and advice about what to do.
