The US launch date for the highly anticipated Apple iphone revealed
After the unveiling of the iPhone back in January this year at MacWorld in San Francisco, Apple have now confirmed that the iPhone will be released in the US on 29 June 2007.
It will retail at $499 (£251) and $599 (£301) depending on the specified configuration. The date was officially announced in several TV adverts in the US on Sunday and was later confirmed by an Apple Spokesman.
Sunday’s adverts showcased the iPhones features, including its multimedia player, its internet capabilities and demonstrated its touch screen technology by showing you how to scroll through e-mails using your finger as a pointer. Watch the ads on Apple.com by clicking here.
Unfortunately there is no mention of the European release date, but initial expectations are for it to appear on shelves around December 2007. Until then why not enter the OneCompare.com iPhone competition and you could be in with a chance of winning one on its release in the UK.
