T-Mobile’s Head of Internet on the Move, Richard Warmsley speaks about Vodafone’s move into real internet.

Recently OneCompare.com released news that Vodafone are set to move into the mobile internet market offering 120MB of data usage for £7.50 per month. Although this is better value for money than the likes of Orange, it still isn't the best mobile internet deal available.

As stated in a previous news article Vodafone launch real internet on mobiles. The chief marketing officer for Vodafone advised “We never said we wanted to be the first to market; we want to be the best."

However T-Mobile have been offering unlimited access to real internet for 2 years now with 1GB of data usage - only time will tell if Vodafone's 120MB will rival the popularity of T-Mobiles Web 'n' Walk add on.

Recently T-Mobile's Head of Internet on the Move, Richard Warmsley said “Finally Vodafone takes a step in the right direction, albeit with plenty of small print. T-Mobile has offered unlimited access to the real internet with T-Mobile web’n’walk since 2005 and flat rate pricing since 2006. And we’ve seen a massive increase in people using web’n’walk since we pioneered the service, the key was to make internet browsing unlimited and have real transparency in pricing. Vodafone’s ‘per megabyte’ pricing for customers who go over the download limit rings alarm bells - people just don’t understand what a ‘mega byte’ is.”

Here's how the networks add-up:

To sign up to vodafone's £7.50 per month rate simply visit My Account on your phone. As an added bonus your first month will be absolutely free.
