T-Mobile to give away free weekend text messages for customers who top up on Fridays

T-Mobile has announced their new pay as you go promotion - Top Up Fridays. Top Up Fridays will reward any T-Mobile pay as you go customer who tops up their mobile phone by £10 or more on a Friday with unlimited free texts to any network all day Saturday and Sunday.

Top Up Fridays comes as a sweetener after T-Mobile recently raised the call charges of their pay as you go Everyone and Mates Rates tariffs. T-Mobile raised its Everyone cross network call charges from 12p to 15p and its Mates rates own network call charge from 5p to 8p. 

T-Mobile has designed the promotion to fit in with their commitment to simplify tariffs. While carrying out research T-Mobile discovered that their customers wanted a reward that they would actually use, is simple to understand and doesn’t come with a lot of small print, thus Top up Fridays was born. The promotion aims to reward T-Mobile customers who top up regularly.

If you are currently on Mates Rates, Everyone, Text Appeal or U-Fix you can register by dialing 150 from your handset between the 16th July and the 16th October. T-Mobile are hoping to extend Top up Fridays after the 16th October, but may introduce free weekend calls or free weekend data rather than free weekend text messages depending on the feedback they receive from their customers who try out the promotion.
