Orange and Vodafone say no to whole line rental cashback deals.
Thursday, August 02, 2007
You will notice on OneCompare.com that there are very few 12 month cashback deals on Orange and Vodafone. This is due to both those networks refusing to allow retailers to sell these full cashback deals as of August 1st 2007.
There hasn’t been an official statement as to why they have done this so we can only assume that it is partly because it is stopping customers from getting deals direct from the network and because of the amount of cashback companies that purposely mislead and scam customers – of course these unscrupulous companies are not featured on OneCompare.com!
There are still a few deals offering full line rental cashback with Vodafone, but they are not on the popular new phones anymore, some of the best deals include LG Chocolate White and Nokia 6300.
Both of these are available from PhoneBoxDirect on Vodafone £35 12 month contracts, and currently are still showing as 12 months line rental cashback. Although we don’t know how long these deals will remain on so grab them while you can!
At the time of writing only T-Mobile are still allowing 12 months cashback on popular phones such as Sony Ericsson K800i, Samsung U600, Nokia 6300 and LG Chocolate Pink & White
This is obviously a big shake up for the cashback companies, and means that customers are now going to miss out on a lot of cashback deals. Here at OneCompare.com we will always strive to show you the best deals available.
