Manufacturers decide that what we all want for Christmas is a purple phone

Over the past couple of years pink has proved to be amazingly popular with the ladies, the craze started with the Motorola V3 Razr ‘Hot Pink’ – which virtually took over Christmas 2005. Since then more and more phones are being released in the usual range of colours (black, white or silver) then at a later date released in a special pink version.

Pink has obviously been very popular with ladies of all ages, but can often prove to be a bit gaudy – especially for the more mature lady.

Now the market is flooded with pink phones, with retailers actually creating links to all phones available in pink. However, it seems that pink is possibly going out of fashion, to be replaced by a more adult friendly purple.

It has recently been announced that 3 have got the exclusive rights to the Sony Ericsson K770 in purple. O2 will have the exclusive rights to the Sony Ericsson S500i in purple, and it looks like the U600 is set to be released in purple (it’s eighth colour variation).

So it looks like the future is going to be purple, but here at OneCompare.com we doubt that pink phones will be resigned to the bargain bin just yet.
