Firstly there's the Motorola U3, a standard clamshell phone with no real change in specifications from the original PEBL U6. The major selling point of the U3 is the stylish pink colour that it will be available in. Unlike other pink mobile phones which can be quite nauseating to look at, the U3 does pull off its elegant new look.

Unfortunately that is the only positive selling point for this phone. It comes equipped with an unsatisfying VGA camera and a small 128 x 160 resolution screen. Motorola don't seem to be concerned with following the trend of other manufacturers such as Sony Ericsson when it comes to slimness and weight, as the U3 is quite bulky with dimensions of 87.5 x 49 x 22.2 mm and weighs in at a very ordinary 105g. With the likes of the S500i and T650i from Sony Ericsson already on the market we feel the U3 may struggle when it is released. It does flaunt some smooth curves and nice lines which will make it more appealing for those customers more interested in aesthetics rather than functionality. However it has to be said, the Motorola U3 is poor at best and it boasts some awful specifications.

The second mobile phone to be released is the Motorola Rokr W5. Once again this is a mobile phone which looks a lot like their previous KRZR models such as the KRZR K1, K1 Pink and silver. The Rokr W5 sports a new paint job and rokr logo in the bottom corner however the features shown below indicate there's nothing special about this phone that will have customers queuing to lay their hands on it.
