T-Mobile launch MyFaves, a new tariff for November

MyFaves is a new style tariff that will allow you to register five numbers to your contract and get free calls, texts and picture messages to each of those numbers. This is a great idea for mobile users who use their allowances up on a select group of numbers. And in a breakthrough decision T-Mobile have decided to make the ‘free’ calls truly free – OneCompare.com have been told that there will be no fair usage policy on the plans.

As a further advantage you can change the five numbers on a monthly basis – just in case you make/break friends or replace that special someone. This can be done from the phone itself, so you won’t need to call customer service whenever something changes.

MyFaves will be available directly through T-Mobile initially, but rolled out to other retailers in 2008. There are going to be three tariffs available:

Allowances cover calls to UK mobile numbers, 01 and 02 numbers, unfortunately not calls to voicemail. Costs over the allowance will be 30ppm for calls, 12p per text message and 20p per picture message.

To begin with MyFaves will only be available on certain phones:

Samsung U600, Samsung D900i, Nokia 6300, Sony Ericsson K770i and Sony Ericsson W880i – all of which will be free on all three tariffs.

These phones will be pre-loaded with a bespoke interface which shows the five chosen numbers as icons or photos allowing you to call or messages them easily, to make the most of the free calls.

Look out for the launch of MyFaves from T-Mobile next month if you want a contract that allows you to go to town calling a select group of numbers.
