The networks disagree about mobile number porting.
The mobile network 3 encountered a setback this week in their dispute over number porting. A high court judge refused the networks request to view O2, Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobiles documents and emails.
3 had hoped that by viewing their rival’s documents it would help to prove that they had all conspired to slow down the process for customers to keep their mobile phone numbers when they are changing to a new contract on a new network.
Vodafone, O2, Orange, and T-Mobile deny these allegations and insist that their common position on mobile number porting is due to distinct commercial interests.
3 have provided no evidence of its rival networks collusion over mobile number porting. In spite of the dismissal of 3’s application they are expected to continue with the case.
