BlackBerry announce a new high end smartphone to their collection
Smartphone manufacturer BlackBerry have this week announced an addition to their collection of mobiles, this time it is the turn of the Blackberry Bold also known as the Blackberry 9000.
The BlackBerry Bold has a large TFT display with the same half-VGA resolution as the Apple iPhone's - 480 x 320 pixels as well as a full qwerty keyboard and the latest Blackberry OS 4.6.
The BlackBerry Bold has a 624 MHz processor and 1GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD memory card slot which can take 8GB microSDHC cards, as well as being able to take 16GB cards when they become available – so memory really shouldn’t be a problem here!

- Size: 114 x 66 x 14 mm
- Weight: 133 g
- Screen: 65K colours, 480 x 320 pixels
- Style: Standard, with full qwerty keyboard
- OS: BlackBerry OS 4.6
- Memory: 128 MB flash memory, 1 GB storage memory expandable by microSD (TransFlash), microSDHC, up to 8 GB
- Connection: GPRS, 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB
- Media: Media player MP3/WMA/AAC+ and Video player DivX/WMV/XviD/3gp
- Extras: Built-in GPS, BlackBerry maps and DataViz document viewer/editor
The BlackBerry Bold should be available by mid-summer, although we have no word on pricing as yet.
