Back on track to move networks in two hours

The UKPorting committee is responsible for making sure that networks are ready for the two hour porting deadline by September 2009. The Chairman of UKPorting has previously criticised some communication providers for dragging their heels – namely Vodafone.

Vodafone has been leading the opposition to the quicker porting deadline, claiming that it will be more expensive than estimated and will result in more cases of slamming.

However in happier news the Chairman of UKPorting has now stated that he is happy with the momentum of the project, this was said in a report published just last week.

So it looks like we will be all set for very quick changes in mobile phone networks later this year!
