Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has finally been given a release date
The official launch date of the new Sony Ericsson mobile phone has been announced today – The XPERIA X1. One of the most eagerly expected handsets will start being shipped in as early as the 30th September in the UK, Germany and Sweden.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a feature packed touchscreen smartphone, and is being seen as Sony Ericsson’s response to the Apple iPhone. It is a quad-band phone with GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA, HSUPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. Combining a large high quality touchscreen with a handy QWERTY keyboard it is sure to please. The X1 also has a 3.2 megapixel camera, Windows Mobile, GPS and multimedia features.
Sony Ericsson will be looking into the wider market availability in Europe, Asia and Latin America later in the year. Earlier rumours that the X1 was due to be delayed until early 2009 were worrying Sony Ericsson smartphone fans, they can now breathe a sigh of relief, and await the end of September!
