Unusual network achieves more than it’s target of customers
Blyk, the advertisement funded MVNO, announced recently that it had reached 200,000 customers after only being live in the UK for less than a year. Blyk originally aimed for just 100,000 customers but have managed to double it.
Blyk said at an event in London last week that they have proven that their system works and people are interested.
Blyk targets 16 to 24 year olds offering them free messages and minutes in exchange for receiving advertising. Blyk say you should get at least one advertisement per week, it costs nothing to receive them and in exchange for just opening the advertisement text you get free text messages and voicemail. So far Blyk have served over 1,000 ads from more than 100 advertisers.
