Samsung continue their line of quality slider phones with this new handset
Tuesday, January 31, 2006
On paper you may be confused as to why Samsung have released the new D800. Although it has a raft of good features, including a 1.3 megapixel camera with MPEG4 video record, MP3 player, stereo speakers, Bluetooth and 80 MB of memory, it is a step back in technology from the Samsung D600, which has a 2 megapixel camera and 8MB more memory, however it is when you take a look at the new handset that you can see why it shines.
First of all, instead of the more rounded design of the D600, Samsung have opted for a more square form factor which seems to work better as a slider, it has also been made much thinner and is quite impressively thin even fully closed tapping into the market created by the popular line of Motorola RAZR phones.
