Onecompare.com comment on the latest pay monthly contract tariff from T-mobile
Monday, February 06, 2006
Anthony Ball, Director of mobile phone price comparison website Onecompare.com comments on T-mobiles new pay monthly contract tariff.
"The recently announced Flext tariff from T-mobile is an interesting new way of pricing mobile phone costs. Essentially it acts in much the same way as a pay as you go tariff in that you have a set amount of credit to use in any way that you want, meaning you could use it all to make calls, or all to send texts or a combination of the two. This represents much greater flexibility than the standard way of issuing a set amount of calls or texts that a consumer can use each month.
The standout offering in the Flext range of tariffs is Flext 35, offering £180 worth of credit for a monthly cost of just £35. In comparison to the contracts generally available on the high street this represents much better value for medium users of their mobile phones, however this can still be beaten easily by the range of cashback offers available from specialist online retailers. It will be interesting to see whether T-mobile will offer this new tariff through online retailers and allow them to make additional discounts, if they do it will certainly be one of the better value tariffs on the market."
