LG KG800 to be released in European market early May.

LG have announced that from the 3rd May 2006 they will be releasing the LG KG800 mobile phone across Europe. The LG KG800 will look very much like the chocolate handsets found in the company’s home market of Korea, it's major feature being that the handset features a ‘hidden display’.

It has a number of touch sensitive controls on the top half of the slider, the touch keys glow red when active and remain unseen when not in use. The features of the European version of the KG800 have not yet been announced although it will be similar to the Korean version which has features such as a music player and stereo speakers, Bluetooth, 1.3 mega pixel camera, memory card slot and 262k colour QVGA display.

The LG KG800 will be in competition with other slider mobile phones on the market such as the Samsung D600 and the Nokia 6111. Samsung themselves are going for the square slider design with their recently released Samsung D800 mobile phone, as are Nokia with their Nokia 6280 handset.
