Will animal magic be Orange's ticket to the top in the mobile phone tariff war?
Wednesday, April 05, 2006
Orange have launched a range of new mobile phone tariffs, all named after animals – Canary, Racoon, Dolphin and Panther. Although strangely named there is a method to Orange's new tariff-naming madness. Each package is aimed towards a different type of mobile phone user.
Canary packages are for people who love to chat, Racoon packages are for people who want no nonsense basics, Dolphin packages are for people who love to text and Panther packages are for people who want all the extras - for example dedicated customer service and inclusive insurance along with lots of minutes and texts.
Since the launch there have been several deals available with 12 months free line rental, and with deals available with anything ranging from 50 to 900 anytime cross network minutes and 25 to 200 text messages free each month, these are offers not to be missed.
Nokia 1600
Nokia 3120
Nokia 6030
