Send them a Letter Before Action and then pursue them through the courts using Money Claims Online.

Hi,
Did you order through OneCompare.com? If so please email your OC and Mobile Outlet reference numbers to info@onecompare.com and we will chase this with Mobile Outlet for you.
Mobile Outlet have had a few delays recently as they have changed the process from cheque to BACS payment - it is taking around 2 months for payments to go through at the moment, so hopefully yours should be in your bank soon.
Regards, OneCompare.com Team.

Hi
themobileoutlet.co.uk (trading name: Mobile Matters UK Limited) has wasted almost three months and delayed making payments. They have offered many excuses that payment would be made within 72 hours, one week, 10-14 days and 28 days. I have even repeatedly written to Head of Customer Relation team, Adam Sinclair (adamsinclair@themobileoutlet.co.uk), sometimes the email or letter is ignored and at other times the specific point raised is ignored. After almost three months, it appears that County Court Proceedings is the only way to go forward and resolve this matter.
Currently I am waiting for three payments of £72, £84 and £72 on two contracts.
The customer service can be contacted on the following gegraphical numbers which are cheaper than using the 0870 numbers and you can use your monthly allowance:
01274587070, 01274714115, 01274718568.
If these numbers change or are unavailable, you can get the new geographical numbers from saynoto0870.com
It appears that the company prefers to keep customers waiting for as long as possible when using the 0870 numbers.
I have had to enlist the help of my Local Trading Standards Office.
Good Luck

Friends,
I too have been cheated by themobileoutlet.
I took the contract on Apr-07 and sent the first 4 bills on Jul-07. themobileoutlet haven't replied until Oct-07. the reason for denial is that I haven't sent my 4th bill.
They are CHEATING on the basis what they mean by 4th bill. Orange, the network provider, do send the bill in advance, at the beginning of the month. The CATCH here is there is no clarification on what they mean by '4th bill'.
And everyone of us know they don't answer cashback queries over phone. I am not sure if this lady 'Ms. Meredith Walker' exist but I wrote 3 letters to her, two pleading and last threatening.
In my last letter I mentioned that I approached consumerdirect.gov.uk and the adviser asked me to write a letter and wait for 7-14days. No response since one month.
In my old order I never got a cashback of 180pounds.
I will again contact consumerdirect.gov.uk but I am interested in pursuing this legally. I want to learn what 'costs' we need to pay, if any. I am dreaming that if this can be done online few of us can form a group and make this a big issue. Who knows, the mobile network providers might be involved in this. These scams might be bigger than what we think.
I know a friend who works in local (london) news paper and if we present this case properly, we can get it published. Also not sure if the program 'rogue traders' is still being aired, they might be interested for an episode on this.

I met the same problem with Cash Back cheque. My first cashback claim has been confirmed successful on the 6th August. However, after more than 3 months after confirmation, I got nothing paid. The emails sent to TMO were always replied as 'We are currently running around 14 days behind' etc; However, it begins very difficult to believe after receiving 3 times the same responses within this 3 and a half months. I wrote to their forum email address again saying that I was going to take legal process then was replied on 19th Nov saying a cheque would be issued to me in 3 working days which means on the 22nd Nov; however, as usual, I got nothing so far.
I also submitted my second cashback claim for the month 5 to 7 in the end of Oct, but today I got a letter declaring that this 2nd claim(bills 4-7) is void due to bills late. Those bills were garanted to be delivered by "royal mail special delivery" on the 31st Nov, which the fastest way i was able to do, because I hadn't got my 7th bill until the 30th Nov due to the national-wide Royal Mail Strike in Nov which you must have been aware of.
So I'd like to know if anyone of you have experience to share about how to chase the cheque for my first payment and is it still possible to get my 2nd claim be cashed back considering there was the Strike???
Thank you very much

Friends,
I am sure that we all are (being) scammed by this unethical retailer (mobileoutlet). Infact this whole business of Cashback is not straight. Only very few will get Cashbacks without any hassles.
I am not sure how much of effort we can put to pursue them. We do know how to pursue them but this needs time and patience. Obviously this is waste of time for us but bread and butter of the retailer.
I am writing up a small article to highlight this scam. I am dragging the mobile companies (Orange, O2) into this doubting if they have knowledge of who these retailers are and what their scams are.
Pls. go through this link to find some related information. It is mentioned that themobileoutlet changed address.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20789&page=18&highlight=mobile+outlet
IF ANYONE CAN TAKE INITIATIVE OF FILING A CASE AS MENTIONED IN THE ABOVE LINK, WE CAN SUPPORT HIM/HER - BOTH FINANCIALLY (I understand filing a case costs 30quid and i don't think more than 1 quid contribution is needed - we will find more than 30 people affected)
Pls. share your thoughts, friends.
Cheers

10/10 to themobileoutlet.co.uk for being creative in deploying delaying tactics and wasting customers' time. The company (Mobile Matters UK Limited) is very resourceful when it comes to sarurating the market with misleading adverts. A simple search on google or other search engines throws up many offering by the company. In the past they came up with excuses such as promising payments within 7 days,10 days, 14 days and 28 days. The latest excuse from the company has promised payment within 45 days of receipt of documents. Needless to say the deadline has passed and no payment has been made. On several occasions payment was only made as County Court proceedings were about to be issued. The latest ploy by the company's brilliant!!!! Customer Service has been to ignore correspondence and not to reply to several emails requesting payments. I am waiting for two payments of 72 & 84 pounds sterling.
The Head of Customer Relations (an inappropriate title if there ever was one) is Adam Sinclair and can be contacted @ asinclair@themobileoutlet.co.uk.
As a last resort I have written to my MP asking for help.
The unethical and unprofessional service has deteriorated to appalling levels even by Mobile Matters (UK) Limited's low levels.
The company has consistently dedicated resources to marketing and promotional activities in the hope that many customers would fail to make a successful claim for cashback redemption. Just complying with the Ts & Cs for redemption requires the services of a solicitor.

Hi
You are absolutely right. The company (Mobile Matters (UK) Limited has promised payments within 7 days, 10 days, 14 days and 28 days. The latest offering is payment within 45 days of the receipt of documents. Unfortunately for the company I always send correspondence by Recorded Delivery method to stop them claiming non-receipt of documents.
Currently I am waiting for two payments 72 & 84 pounds sterling. The latest ploy employed by the company is to ignore correspondence despite the fact that they have received the two sets of documents and have confirmed eligibility.
I always suspected the company's motives to be suspicious and deliberately misleading, and their conduct have proved my suspicion right. If the huge number of complaints is anything to go by, there appears to be hundreds if not thousands of customers who have been ripped off by the scam perpetrated by the company.
The Head of Customer Relations is Adam Sinclair who can be contacted at asinclair@themobileoutlet.co.uk. Of course there is no guarantee that the very busy Mr Sinclair will be bothered to reply.

Hi
It seems the the company is trying to rip off as many customers as as they can.
I am currently waiting for two cashback payments of 72 & 84 pounds sterling.
Many promises have been made, the latest one being that payment will be made within 45 days. The 45 days have passed and no payment has been issued, payment was supposed to have made via the BACS payment system directly into the current account.
The company has deployed many confusing and delaying tactics to avoid making payments and on several occasions only paid up as County Court proceedings were about to commence.
As a last resort I have written to my MP for help. I have also sent copies of correspondence to my local trading standards as well as the company's local trading standards in West Yorkshire.

I`ve too been a victim of this company... I did`nt submit the dispatch note, but i did submit the 4 bills on time. at first i recieved that the bills are successfully recieved than i called them after 2 months and they answered me after a 20 minutes!! hold ...they had a problem with their system, alright i said, waited for another month and they told me to wait for 48 hrs and send them an email.. so after 3 months i recieved that my 4th bill was`nt on time so they on whole new grounds decided to make the whole cashback claim void!, which is ridiculous.. how can you expect the right response from a customer who was`nt served well... they are so tricky and liars...at first i wanted to change my mobile within first 2 weeks ( which is allowed) and they replied NO since its been opened....i wanted to cancel the contract after 1st month ,cause i realised, that i wont be able to make international calls with it ,and was again threatened to pay the whole amount for the year which is so frustrating...insurance is applied after the 1st 3 months for an extra charge of 5 pounds, which is so hidden in the terms and regulations,....i`d really like to join in any group action submitted against the mobile outlet, not for the cash, rather it is to avenge!.. has anyone got an advise for me what to do .... or plans to be submitted against mobile outlet!

mobileoutlet.co.uk (Mobile Matters (UK) Limited) is deliberately misleading customers. It is very good when it comes to promoting its bogus offers but hopeless when it comes to customer service. They rarely answer calls and keep you waiting forever. You can search for their non-geographical (non 0870... number) by logging into a website called: saynoto0870.com, this site will give you national or local rate numbers to contact the hopeless customer service. You can also contact Adam Sinclair, the Head of Customer Relations at: adamsinclair@themobileoutlet.co.uk or laurharrison@themobileoutlet.co.uk. There is no guarantaee that they will reply but it's worth a try. Another clever trick the company uses to deceive customers is to provide a false link to contact customer service, the only problem is that the link never works. Meanwhile unwary and unsuspecting customers are deliberately misled constantly.
This company has been reported to local trading standards all over the UK, but there seems to be nothing to stop this fraud being perpetrated on the unsuspecting public. I have also contacted the companies house to check the legal status of the company as well as writing t my MP.

I have also been ripped off by Mobile Outlet. I have complied 100% with all the terms and conditions in my cashback contract (even the provision of the dispatch note, which seemed to catch a lot of people out). I have been in contact with my local trading standards who advised me that i should send a recorded delivery letter giving them 7 days to respond before I take them to court. That was 2 weeks ago and they have not responded. I will contact trading standards again on Monday. It astonishes me that trading standards all over the country can receive so many complaints about one company, but still they are allowed to trade.
I would be very interested in joining forces to sue this company. I have a very good case, as I have photocopies of everything I've ever sent them and recorded delivery receipts for everything as well. They owe me about £200 at the moment, and I'm just about to post off my 4th claim.
I know it seems a bit absurd to continue sending them my bills (at my expense) when they seem to have no intention of paying, but there is a clause in the contract that says if you mess up one cashback claim, it makes all others void, so I am making sure I adhere exactly to the Ts and Cs for when I take them to court.
I rue the day I ever ordered a phone from these charlatans. Previously I had a cashback deal with Carphone Warehouse and it was fine - they always paid me on time as agreed, with no need to chase them up.

I have taken out three contracts with themobileoutlet.co.uk and without exception have had problems getting cash back with every instalment, they are excellent in playing all kinds of delaying games to confuse customers and to avoid making payments.
I have been waiting for over two months for two instalments. The latest excuse was that payment would be made within 45 days of receipt of documents. The 45 days has passed and no payments has been issued, the company Mobile Matters (UK) Limited does not even bother to lie (I mean replly!!! to correspondence ) anymore. Adam Sinclair, Head of Customer Relations has stopped replying to customers completely.
I have written to my MP and have no option but to issue County Court proceedings. You can give the company a 7 Day Notice before County Court action. If you are considering issuing County Court proceedings, make sure you enclose all details of correspondence.

I have the same problem. Send them all my bills and the dispatch note but havent recd any thing yet Its been 2months Sent them 5 emails but they never even replied. I have taken cash back deals with other comapnies in the past and never had any problem. I am a student and can't afford that they are behaving like this. I surely want to take them to court so that in future they won't do this sort of scam with anyone else.
