Instant-Unlock.co.uk DO NOT USE!!
Posted on: 07/08/2007 @ 18:21
I would to like to give a warning about using instant-lock.co.uk aka irwebonline.com. They promise unlock codes for ALL UK Vodafone handsets for £19.99 within 72hrs . I paid for one for my Nokia N80,and got NOTHING at all. No code, no refund and no reply to any many emails. They have simply stolen my money. Do not give them yours!!

Hi,
Thanks for the information and sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with this company.
After reading your thread i decided to take a look at their website.
Im sorry but i could not order anything from a company that has a phone number like this: -----------------------------------------
Office Hours 9am-5pm Monday-Friday 9am-12pm Saturday Closed Sunday
Customer Services Our friendly Customer Services Team will be delighted to assist you with your queries. Tel : 0870 ??????
----------------------------------------
I have to say it doesn't fill me with confidence.
Best of luck trying to get your cash back - thanks for the warning.

Yeah, have to admit that I feel a bit of an idiot for giving them my money. Not much chance of getting it back. But I'm gonna post warnings about them on as many forums as I can find to stop other people getting ripped off!!

I have just used "instantunlockcodes.co.uk" and have been ripped off!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
They offered me an unlock code for a Blackberry, then, tell me after an hour that they don't do Blackberry, and I can have credit for another phone unlock!!!
They knew they couldn't do Blackberry, but they still took my money.

I wish I had read your forum before I tried to use them(Instant-Unlock)as they took my money before telling me that they couldnt unlock my particular phone, but they offered me a credit for another unlock code, or a Sim card instead, which I accepted but havent recieved as yet, but after reading some of your reports, I dont think I will hold my breath!.

I don't know if it would help or not but why don't you all contact Ofcom (020 7981 3040/0300 123 3333)and your local consumer direct offices.
If enough of you lodge a complaint against them with Ofcom they may get investigated.
Your local consumer direct will give you all the options on what you can do. They will hopefully advise you how to get your money back.
It may stop other people from falling for the same scam.

On 6/14/08 they charged my credit card for the unlock fee. They do not tell you that they do not unlock Blackberrys until they have your money. I asked them to use the credit to unlock a Motorola phone. As yet I have not heard from them after many messages posted in their contact form. I just sent them another one telling them I was going to report them for fraud.
By the way, they also have a site under instantunlockcodes.com in the US. The charge is only 7.99 US, but that is not the point.

In reply to a previous post, am not mistaken with this website www.instant-unlock.co.uk. They took my money and lots of other peoples and gave no codes, no refunds, nothing! They are con men, and if anyone actually got anything for their money then congratulations!!

They just did the same thing to me for a motorola i335. There is no place on the form that shows that they do not offer an unlock code for this phone. Here is what they sent back to me:
