About Oppo Find X - Review, Specs + more From the technical point of view, the Oppo Find X is just another flagship with familiar hardware like the Snapdragon 845, 8GB of RAM and generous 128GB of storage space. But far from it! For the price, you get not only high-end hardware but also one of the first smartphones that has not housed the front camera in the immediate front. Sounds weird, but the front camera is pushed automatically in a kind of slider, mechanically upwards so the display has no notch and the camera is protected at the same time. Impressive! The large and impressive 6.42 inch device with AMOLED display and 2340 × 1080 pixel resolution in 19.5: 9 format measures just 74.2 x 156.7 x 9.4mm and is barely larger than the conventional 6 inch devices with 18 : 9 displays. As with the Xiaomi Mi Mix, there is an immediate, narrow border to the display. A notch is fortunately omitted. The used Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects it from scratches. Oppo brings the competition from Apple, Samsung & Co. with the new Find X neatly into a sweat. What, you do not know Oppo? The Chinese brand that you have never heard of, are now number four behind Samsung, Huawei and Apple.Yes, you read that right. Bigger than LG, or Google. Oppo has long been a cult in their home country, unknown in the UK - after all, no smartphone has officially been released in this country before now. Oppo wants to change that with his Find X. Will the Chinese succeed in attacking top dogs like Apple and Samsung with the Oppo Find X? Oppo Find X: Sexy Display and Camera Long-drawn displays in 18: 9 format are now standard and represented in every smartphone price range. But the front camera and associated sensors have not disappeared completely yet. Samsung uses a small frame for devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S9, while Apple, Huawei & Co. solve the "stowing" problem with the so-called Notch, ie a small cutout at the top. Vivo with the Vivo NEX Ultimate and now Oppo are going refreshingly new ways. The selfie lens on the Find X is not recognizable at first glance, but the huge 6.42-inch screen in 19.5: 9 format. So the Find X comes to a fabulous 93 percent display area. The remaining seven percent are left for the touch of frame. Mega! The OLED panel delivers excellent colors and contrasts, the brightness is amazingly high. The sharpness fits despite full HD + resolution (2340x1080 pixels). On the back of the glass neither a fingerprint sensor nor one or even two cameras can be seen. Has Oppo forgotten the lenses? No! When opening the camera app, the selfie snap and the rear dual camera automatically close. This is reminiscent of earlier slider phones (reissued by, for example, the Nokia 8110 4G) - and Star Trek. The mechanism works reliably and in less than half a second, even with the amazingly precise face unlocking with 15,000 infrared points. The test showed no exposure or wear.
