Tip: Adjust the sliders to find your perfect plan!
The SONY Xperia XZ2 comes with a case that is slightly more rounded than previous models. In addition, there is a camera that entertains you with slow motion videos and 4K HDR recordings. It's a great package from SONY, and we're going to taker a closer look...
Want some light gaming relief in a glass body design? The XZ2 is clearly designed for entertainment: On the display you can watch 4K movies and videos in stunning HDR quality. There is nothing in the way of high-resolution streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix unfortuantely, but music fans will also get their money's worth: Bring your favourite songs over strong stereo speakers or Bluetooth headphones, which are supported with an all round improved sound.
Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, the audio signals are transmitted at high speed. Wired headphones can be connected only via an adapter, because a headphone jack is not available.
The phone's outer casing and shape have also been redesigned, with the special feature of a curved 3D glass surface. It reflects the light so that it glows and reflects colours. On top of that, it is IP65 / 68 certified and therefore dustproof and waterproof. The smartphone is available in pink, blue, silver and black. However, be prepared for a higher weight and a fuller line: The 3rd generation is 3.2 mm and 42 g thicker and heavier than the Xperia XZ1.
Sony is breaking new ground with the design. While the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ are still stuck in square, the corners of the Xperia XZ2 are rounder and more beautiful. At the same time, the margins to the left and right of the display have become narrower. The 18: 9 display has Full HD resolution. It has been enlarged from 5.2 inches to 5.7 inches over its predecessors and strong hardware, more battery capacitymake it a phone worth considering.
The Xperia XZ2 has powerful hardware including a current processor and 4GB of RAM. You can expand the internal memory of 64 GB via microSD card up to 400GB - something you certainly cannot do easily with iPhones!
The software is based on Android 8.0 Oreo wehich comes with many pre-installed, useful apps. The battery is fixed and has a capacity of 3180 mAh. It is well within the upper range compared to competitors; indeed, it surpasses even the energy sources of competitors like the more pricey Galaxy S9 which has only a 3000 mAh battery.
The rear camera, the 19 megapixel sensor allows 4K recordings in HDR. In addition, you can record Super Slow Motion clips with 960 frames per second in HD or Full HD quality. The camera also captures slow-mo video at 120 frames per second. For selfies you use the 5 megapixel camera on the front. Centrally below the main camera, a fingerprint sensor is placed to unlock the screen.
If you are looking at other models, then the newer Xperia XZ3 is worth a look. It retails at a higher price point, but it has some newer features.
Don't forget that the XZ2 won the "Best of" MWC award in 2018.
The XZ1 is worthy of a mention if you're on a smaller budget, but the XZ2 here presents the best value when you look at the features and the package on offer.

OneCompare completely gets it, it's not easy trying to understand the differences of each mobile network
operator. Is o2 any better than Vodafone for this smartphone, when it comes to coverage? Or worse? It's a
real minefield. Another example, which is better? A Sony Xperia XZ2 ee
contract or a Sony Xperia XZ2 Tesco Mobile contract?
The reality is, it can make a huge difference to your satifaction with the overall product. Who wants to have
cruddy download speeds? But never fear - OneCompare is here. Don't forget to check our latest Blog posts
Before you decide to buy a contract or handset, it's important to know if you'll get a signal. Who wants to
be walking around into mobile network's blackholes?! After all, ordering your brand
new Sony Xperia XZ2 contract only to find you can't use your data (never
mind going over the allowance!) in your own house will be pretty not cool.
A simple website a number of our visitors have used is Open Signal which maps signal
across all major mobile networks across the UK.
According to Which?, In their latest research, covering June to August 2017, they focused on 4G performance
and found that EE offered the fastest average 4G download speeds of the four networks (EE, O2, Three and
Vodafone). While EE customers enjoyed average 4G download speeds of 29Mbps, those using the O2 network had
to put up with an average speed of just 15.1Mbps.
EE's network was also at the top of the list when it came to the availability of its 4G signal, with
customers able to access it 78.5% of the time. Customers with Three had the poorest access to a 4G signal -
they were able to access it just 57.1% of the time - that's only just more than half the time, 24/7!

In truth, this answer will depend on your personal financial circumstances, in combination with your mobile
phone usage requirements.
Out of our 774 Sony Xperia XZ2 deals, our
cheapest Sony Xperia XZ2 deal over the entire life of the contract is
£408.00, this includes any upfront handset cost and cashback redemption.
We have seen a number of scenarios where our cheapest contract is actually cheaper than buying the phone SIM
free without any contract, this loophole can be a great way to save on your new phone and is largely
possible as the Mobile Networks subsidise the handset cost to gain you as a new customer.
A relatively simple SIM Only comparison calculation is to add up how much
a Sony Xperia XZ2 SIM free phone would cost, this is where you buy the phone
without a contract and pay for the full cost of the handset upfront. The benefit here is flexibility: you're
able to then compare the SIM Only contract market where Mobile Networks often give you far better usage
allowances and shorter contract terms. Once you've found a SIM Only contract that meets your needs, note the
monthly cost over the course of 24 months and add this to your SIM
Free Sony Xperia XZ2 handset cost. You're now in a great position to compare
this cost to a regular Sony Xperia XZ2 Contract.
Pro Tip: A great way to save a few extra pounds when comparing SIM Only contract is to consider purchasing a
pre owned Sony Xperia XZ2 phone from the likes of Music Magpie who provide
warranties and flexible handset payment terms.
